Bogotá (General Information)

Santa Fe de Bogotá, D.C. is the capital of the Republic of Colombia, located on a plateau with an area of 1,587 km2, at an altitude of 2,640 mts above sea level and with an average temperature of 14 degrees centigrade.

Centro Hostelling is located in the colonial and romantic sector known as La Candelaria. All of the history and the best of the cultural attractions are here: colonial architecture, museums, theaters, arts and crafts galleries, concert halls, historical monuments, libraries and universities. A bit to the north there are restaurants and discotheques, especially in the Zona Rosa and the road to La Calera.

There are several towns that, at less than an hour’s drive away, offer a variety of climates, scenery, arts & crafts and traditions.
